Davinci IQ2 Vaporizer

VaporizersDirect offered an awesome discount deal when I purchased my IQ2 and their packaging and service has been great so far. I've seen many reviews on vapourisers and the Davinci IQ2 Product seems to be reported as one of the best vapourisers out there. I bought the device because it has an replacable 18650 battery and was reported to have a clean glass and ceramic vapour path. The device does appear to be well made and I've been able to adjust the settings using the app including turning off the vibration and setting the dosage quantity which is very medically orientated.

I feel slightly mislead on two aspects so I am removing 2 stars not from VaporizersDirect but from my rating of Davinci and their IQ2. The two aspects I feel slightly mislead are in regards to the rubber/silicone pieces having a smell and it off gassing even more under heat and the 2nd is in regards to questions of their 10yr warranty. There is an obvious chemical smell from the rubber or silicone parts that didn't completely go away even after removing all the rubber/silicone pieces and scrubbing them with alcohol and leaving to off gass for a week. The intensity of the rubber smell in my product was not extremly high. I've definatley had many Chinese rubber products that are much worse but it is by no means medical or food grade rubber. The issue is I do not want to be inhailing any chemical smell.

To clean the rubber parts, it was pretty difficult to reassemble the rubber insert in around the bottom lid where the oven is and the rubber from the top of the inside of the vapour chamber. I have not used the device for vapourising anything. It is brand new. I power up the device and run at max temp of 221°C. I blow through the open air holes in the bottom and cup my hand over the top mouthpiece to do a burn off cycle as reccomended. The hot air in my cupped hand over the mouth piece makes my hand have that same chemical smell that came from the rubber or silcone pieces. This is the same both before and after cleaning which was done by scrubbing with alcohol and rinsing with purified water and leaving to dry for a week.

The 2nd issue of concern is in regards to the 10yr warranty. The Davinci company is in the USA and the included warranty registation sign up offer only covers free shipping within the USA which I assume means you'll probably have to pay a significant postage fee to post it to Davinci in the USA if you need to warranty. There is a large 200+ page forum post on a website for the Davinci IQ2 that includes some posts by someone from Davinci. A number of people have reported good experiences with warrantying their device but there are a number of reports of people who have stated that they have heard no e-mail responce back from Davinci when they have tried to warranty their device. You may want to consider asking VaporizerDirect if they warranty these devices and where you stand with Australian consumer law in regards to warranty as if Davinci decide to not answer your email request to warranty well then I guess the 10yr warranty will not be worth the paper it's printed on.

I absolutely love theDavinci iq2 vape it works great the oven is large for your herbs it also has a cooling chamber which also doubles up as a storage chamber

The IQ2 is a great unit and does its job well. Easy to use, small and compact, and easy to load and maintain. It does everything I wanted from it.
Only slight downside is that the battery life is rather short and wont last more than two uses which can be limiting. The sourcing of a second battery or the Powerpack would resolve this and i intend to do that.
All in all, a satisfied customer here - the service was great and the delivery time was excellent

I started off with the miqro in less than a month i decided to upgrade to the iq2 great machine.

The iq2 is easy to use didnt have much luck connecting to the davinci app but thats not an issue to use the device the Battery life is excellent and easy to clean and it comes with a box full of cleaning supplies and different attachments

IQ2 is little fiddly, but fairly decent once you figure out how to use it. Very nice flavour and cleanliness of the vapour. Awesomely built with quality materials. The density of the vapour somewhat needs addressing, unless you pump it up into the 200 degree range.
Not an overly hungry unit in terms of herb consumption, and extracts very well.
Personally I still prefer convection devices and will be parking the IQ2, and going back to ArGo, and Mighty.

I'm a lung and bowel cancer patient. As a new vape user I find the Davinci IQ2 keeps me stoned all day. It's easy to use after you get the hang of it all. I love it and won't go anywhere without it.

PRODUCT CAME LATE, POOR PACKAGING.
The Davinci box was packaged in just a plastic bag no padding or even another box to act as a protective layer. The result of this poor packaging: my Davinci box has a few marks on it especailly on a corner and the Davinci vape itself was not locked in place and was loose when i opened its box. nothing major but i am spending 380$ on this and i think a bit more protection, and care, would of been nice. Im sure the vape if fine but vaporizers Australia i give you a 3 star rating for that lazy effort with packaging.
